Authentic Italian pesto from Barilla

Pesto Basilico – this pasta sauce classic is now fully vegan. Now you can enjoy this cheese- and lactose-free Barilla basil pesto at home. The vibrant green colour comes solely from the intense basil which, like all the other ingredients, is carefully selected. Cashew nuts give the creamy paste its trademark, slightly nutty notes.

Quick and easy to prepare: the vegan pesto can be added directly to warm, drained pasta and, if you like, you can dilute it with a tablespoon of pasta water – done!

Our tip – toast some small slices of bread and brush with the vegan pesto. Season diced tomatoes with a little salt and pepper and add to the bread. And there you have it, bruschetta with an authentic Italian flair.
