An original and pioneer

It’s not just delicious products Kellogg’s has invented and revolutionised, it's the approach to morning nutrition, too. More than 100 years ago, W. K. Kellogg discovered all the positive properties hiding in a grain kernel. How? Well, as is so often the case: by chance. The brother of the subsequent founder W.K. Kellogg had worked as a doctor at the Western Health Reform Institute since 1875. It was dedicated to “strengthening and healing the organism with medical gymnastics, sunlight, hydrotherapy” and – a vegetarian diet. Kellogg experimented with grains and once accidentally left boiled wheat to stand overnight. The genius idea came the next morning, when he put the soft mass through rollers and dried the resulting flakes… the rest is history.

Championing the vegan diet for a hundred years

By founding his own company in 1906, Kellogg intended to offer the rest of the country an alternative to the traditional high-fat American breakfast. And so KELLOGG’S was born. Today, the company produces cereal and snack products in 18 countries and distributes its products in more than 180 countries.
