Vegan Fish & Chips


200 g tofu
1 Nori sheets
75 g flour
100 ml plant drink
50 ml beer
1/4 Tbsp garlic powder
1/8 Tbsp paprika
oil for frying
salt, pepper

For serving:
French Fries or Potato wedges
bedda Remo
lemon wedges



Press the water out of the tofu. To do this, wrap the tofu with a kitchen towel and place something heavy on top of it. Let it rest for one hour. 

Cut the tofu in half lengthwise and then diagonally to end up with 4 triangles. Cut the nori sheet into the same shape and place it on top.

For the batter mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, vegetable drink plant drink, and beer. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Heat oil in a pot. Once the oil is hot enough for frying, dip a piece of tofu topped with nori into batter mix and coat completely. Carefully place the batter-coated tofu into the hot oil. Fry for 2 minutes per side until golden brown.

Dry off excess oil with a kitchen towel and serve with fries, bedda Remo, and lemon wedges.
