Meatless Farm
The vegan meat alternatives from Meatless Farm
Meatless Farm works its fertile Canadian soils to offer you vegan meat alternatives which, as well as being genuinely sustainable, genuinely taste great. The purely plant-based balls, nuggets, Schnitzel, Bratwurst and burgers are soya-free, but full of flavour. In an effort to further boost sustainability, in 2022 Meatless Farm switched fully to pea proteins for producing its plant-based products. After all, the Dutch company has set its sights high when it comes to taste – further reducing global meat consumption by offering excellent alternatives that don’t skimp on taste, be it gourmet indulgence or a BBQ spread.
Peas made in Canada: vegan meat alternatives from Meatless Farm
Meatless Farm grows its peas in rainy Canada. Why Canada? It’s not just because it rains a lot there, which saves a lot of water, it’s also because the fields there are suitable for alternating crop cultivation, which ensures nutrient-rich and fertile soil. The peas play their part here. Before, crop cultivation in these fields alternated between rapeseed and wheat. This improves the nitrogen balance and reduces the need for fertiliser in the fields.
It’s not just the pea that’s green: focus on sustainability
Peas don’t need a warm climate like soya, which is why they don’t pose any threat to rainforest areas. To illustrate the impact of a meat-free diet on CO2 emissions and the environment, Meatless Farm has developed a calculator which allows its website users to work out what their contribution to sustainability will be if they replace their meat consumption with products from Meatless Farm. The verdict? Green at heart, juicy and tender and a strong contender to rival meat on the BBQ – that’s vegan meat alternatives from Meatless Farm.
